Vladimir Vasiliev is the Director and Chief Instructor of Systema Headquarters. Born in Russia, Vladimir received intense training from the top Special Operations Units instructors and is the top student of Mikhail Ryabko. Vladimir's work spans across 10 years of extensive service with the Special Operations Unit. He also served as trainer for elite units, SWAT teams, and bodyguards. Vladimir moved to Canada, and in 1993 founded the first school of Russian Martial Art outside Russia - Systema Headquarters. He has since personally trained and certified well over 300 qualified Russian Martial Art instructors and schools worldwide, and has provided an award-winning instructional film collection.

Join us for a catered buffet party at Fighthouse featuring delicious authentic Russian cuisine from Brighton Beach, New York's famous "Little Odessa." Fine red wine and beer will be provided by us, however you are welcome to bring your own bottle(s) and partake and share. To join us for the Russian Banquet, please pay in advance. Send $40.00 no later than no later than December 15, 2009 so we can place the order with the caterers.
We accept money orders, checks (before January 3, 2010), and cash. Money orders and checks should be made payable to Edgars Cakuls. At Fighthouse
You can sleep at Fighthouse for $10.00 per night "sleep away" camp-style. We have mats to cushion the floor, but please bring your own bedding or sleeping bag, pillow, and towel. We have separate changing rooms, restrooms, and showers for men and women.

If you are traveling from the tri-state area, click for maps and driving directions. Click to find the nearest subway from your origin within the five boroughs. If you are arriving by bus from Port Authority terminal, it's a short taxi ride, or you may take the A, C, or E trains to Penn Station/34th Street and walk south to Fighthouse. From JFK or LaGuardia Airports, take a shuttle bus to Penn Station ($12-$15 each way), and from there, it's a short walk to Fighthouse. From JFK, you may take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station and transfer to an A train to Penn Station. Or take a taxi from the airports directly to Fighthouse (from JFK: $45 flat fee, plus tolls and tip; from LaGuardia: approximately $24-$28 metered fare, plus tolls and tip; from Newark: approximately $69-$75 metered fare, plus tolls and tip. It is customary to tip 15-20% of the fare).
